Experience in hunting and/or outdoor pursuits also an asset.
Must be able to support client in men's change room.

PERSONAL SUPPORT WORKERS
For The North York/Toronto Area
Community Solutions Limited is seeking qualified, enthusiastic, and hard working Personal Support Workers.
Part -time position(s) available (24 - 48 hours per week). All employees begin on a part time basis. Full-time positions are possible after a probationary period and promotion is based on availability, reliability and performance in the part-time position.
Applicants must be willing to work ALL shifts, including nights (11pm - 7am) and weekends (day, evening and/or night shifts). For this position, there is a shift rotation of days, evenings and nights. Please do not apply if you are not able to meet the above requirements.
Qualifications:
- PSW Certificate from a qualified Ontario Institution (CSW and DSW may be accepted based on experience)
- Current CPR/ First Aid Certificate from a qualified Ontario institution
- Experience in Home health care an advantage
There are always 2 people on a shift. Therefore, you would be working as a team with the other employee to care for the client.
Duties include:
- Working as a team with RPN or other PSW on duty to perform patient care
- Working as a team with RPN or other PSW on duty to maintain constant awareness and care of Client and needs
- Personal interaction and activities with Client
- Accompanying Client on wheelchair excursions in neighbourhood
- 2 person Client transfer
- Infection Control
- Cleaning, laundry and maintenance of a sanitary health care environment

Community Solutions Limited specializes in providing 1:1 attendant care and community support services to facilitate accessibility and reintegration for persons with disabilities and the mature individuals.
Established in 1994, Community Solutions Limited has developed expertise in managing the various needs of people with disabilities living in the community. Our services include attendant care, medical, rehabilitation community support services provided by experienced, highly skilled and compassionate staff. Most recently we have successfully established accessible leisure experiences for persons with disabilities at a cottage getaway in the Muskokas, adventure recreational experiences including kayaking, horseback riding, sailing, camping, as well as accompanying an individual on a cruise. Our latest venture is to promote travel experiences throughout Canada for the traveler with a disability, whether they are a resident of Canada, or visiting from another country.
We require dedicated and experienced support personnel (PSWs, CSWs, RPNs, RNs and companions) to provide necessary and appropriate personal care while at the same time promoting the persons' maximum level of involvement and ability to engage in and complete their own activities and travel experience.
Qualifications/ Education:
Must be/have a
- member in good standing of relevant professional college or related organization with current medical certification, where appropriate.
- minimum of 3 years experience providing support for persons with disabilities and/or senior population.
